Vancouver Map: Every Place This Guide Covers

This Vancouver map puts all 46 places this guide covers on one screen: the ticketed sights with the official adult price, the free ones, the seven neighbourhoods, the restaurants three published guides name, and the eleven day trips out of the city. Filter by category, tap a pin for the price and the page that explains it, or open any point in Google Maps and walk there. Every pin below the map is repeated as text, in the same order and with the same number, because a list is readable in a way a pin is not. The wider planning picture starts on the plan hub, and the room decision on where to stay. The same Vancouver map carries the city's neighborhoods as their own filter, so you can strip it back to Gastown, Chinatown, Yaletown, the West End, Mount Pleasant and North Vancouver and see how far apart they really sit.

Quick answer 46 pins, five colours, and what each one tells you

Forty-six pins in five colours: dark green for ticketed sights, leaf green for the free ones, red for food, blue for neighbourhoods, brown for day trips out of the city. Eleven of the 46 cost nothing at all, and the most expensive single pin on the map is Capilano at $55.70 (CA$76.95) before tax.

Key takeaways

  • Every pin carries the official adult price, not a platform price, and links to the page that explains it. Where a ticket is worth comparing, the popup books it: Grouse, Capilano and the Lookout all have cards on this page.
  • Tap Google Maps on any pin to navigate to it from your own phone.
  • Eleven pins are free, including Lynn Canyon's suspension bridge, which is the paid bridge's free alternative on the same mountainside.
  • The eleven brown pins are all outside the city. How long each one takes is the table under the map.

The Map

Numbered pins, filterable by category. The text list underneath holds the same 46 places in the same order, so the numbers on the map and in the list always match, and a filtered view keeps its original numbers rather than renumbering.

Prices are the official adult rate published by each venue and read on 8 September 2026, converted at CA$1 to US$0.7244; several carry GST on top, which the pin says. Coordinates for the attractions come from each page's own key facts and from verified Wikidata items; the neighbourhood, restaurant and day-trip pins were located from their street address or place name through OpenStreetMap, because no official Vancouver page publishes coordinates for them. Restaurants appear only where MICHELIN, Canada's 100 Best or the Vancouver Magazine awards name them.

Getting Between the Clusters

The map divides into five groups of pins, and the only question that matters is how long each takes from downtown and what it costs to get there. Fares are TransLink's and the operators' own, effective 1 July 2026 for transit and 16 June 2026 for the ferries.

Cluster How you get there Time from downtown Fare What is pinned there
The downtown peninsula On foot, or any 1-zone fare 0 to 25 minutes $2.06 (CA$2.85) stored value Stanley Park, the seawall, Canada Place, the Lookout, Gastown, Chinatown, Yaletown, the West End
The North Shore SeaBus then bus 236 or 228, or the free Capilano shuttle 25 to 45 minutes 1 zone after 6:30 p.m., 3 zones on a weekday morning Grouse, Capilano, Lynn Canyon, Deep Cove, Cypress, Mount Seymour, Lighthouse Park
False Creek and the south side Canada Line, the False Creek ferries, or bus 10 to 25 minutes 1 zone, plus the ferry operators' own fares Granville Island, Science World, Mount Pleasant, Queen Elizabeth Park, VanDusen
Kitsilano and UBC Bus 4, 14 or 84 over the bridges 15 to 35 minutes 1 zone throughout Kitsilano Beach, the Museum of Anthropology
Richmond and the airport Canada Line south 18 to 26 minutes $4.71 (CA$6.50) AddFare only when leaving YVR The night market, Steveston
The Sea to Sky corridor and the island Coach, or ferry plus bus 1 hour to Squamish, 13 hours round trip to Victoria Coach from CA$32 one way; ferry $15.21 (CA$21) each way Squamish, the gondola, Whistler, Victoria, Bowen Island

Everything is a 1-zone fare after 6:30 p.m. on weekdays and all day at weekends and on statutory holidays, and buses are 1 zone at all times. Getting around has the full fare table.

How to Read This Map

The five colours answer five different questions. Dark green is the ticketed layer: 11 places where you will hand over money at a gate, each pin carrying the official adult price rather than a platform price, so you can see immediately whether a bundled tour is a saving or a markup. Leaf green is the free layer, eight places that cost nothing, and it is the most useful filter on a wet day or a thin budget.

Red is food, and it is deliberately short: it holds only the two markets and the restaurants a published guide names. Blue is the seven neighbourhoods, which are areas rather than addresses, so the pin sits at the centre of each one. Brown is everything outside the city, from a 25-minute bus to a 13-hour ferry day.

Two things the map cannot tell you. The first is opening hours, which change by season on almost every pin here and belong on the pages rather than in a popup: VanDusen flips its rates and hours on 1 April and 1 November, the Museum of Anthropology starts closing on Mondays from 15 October, and the Sea to Sky Gondola shuts for maintenance from 9 to 26 November. The second is whether a price includes tax.

Vancouver quotes admission before tax more often than not, so a pin reading "plus GST" is 5% short of what you will pay.

Where a pin has a matching tour card on this page, the popup offers it, and where it does not, the popup still links the page that compares the ways in. That is the honest way round: the map is an orientation tool, and the decision about whether a ticket, a combination or a guided version is worth it belongs on the tickets hub and on each attraction's own page.

The Shape of the City, in Four Sentences

Downtown Vancouver is a peninsula with water on three sides and Stanley Park filling the tip, which is why so many pins cluster in the top left of the map. Everything north of the water on the map is the North Shore, reached by the SeaBus in 12 minutes or by bridge, and it holds all three mountains and both suspension bridges. Everything south of False Creek is the residential city, where the neighbourhoods, the breweries and most of the restaurants are.

Everything beyond the frame, and the brown pins that reach it, is British Columbia: an hour of highway to Squamish, two to Whistler, a ferry crossing to Victoria.

The City of Vancouver divides itself into 22 distinct areas, which is why two guides can draw the boundary of Yaletown or the West End in different places and both be defensible. The seven neighbourhood pins here are placed at the centre of each area as OpenStreetMap defines it, and none of them should be read as a boundary. The city sits on the unceded traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, using the City's own spellings.

Vancouver Map: Questions

Is there a printable or PDF version of this Vancouver map?

No, and deliberately: the prices on it change and a PDF would age badly. The text list under the map holds every pin, its price and its page, so it prints and reads on a phone with no signal. For navigation, tap Google Maps on any pin and let your own phone route you.

How accurate are the pins on this map of Vancouver attractions?

The ticketed sights use the coordinates published on each attraction's own page here, taken from verified Wikidata items or derived from the street address. The neighbourhoods, restaurants and day-trip pins were resolved from a place name or street address through OpenStreetMap, because no official Vancouver page publishes coordinates for them. Neighbourhood pins mark a centre, never a boundary.

Which places on the map are free?

Eleven of the 46, once you count the free day-trip pins: Stanley Park, the seawall, English Bay, Kitsilano Beach, Queen Elizabeth Park, Canada Place, Lynn Canyon, Lighthouse Park, Shannon Falls, the Stawamus Chief and Deep Cove. Filter to the leaf-green chip to see them alone.

Why are restaurants on a tourist map at all?

Because they are the pins most guides get wrong. Every food pin here appears in the MICHELIN Guide Vancouver, Canada's 100 Best 2026 or the Vancouver Magazine Restaurant Awards 2026, and the card says which. Nothing is pinned because somebody liked it. The reasoning and the full lists.

How far outside the city do the pins go?

As far as Whistler, 1 hour 45 minutes by coach, and Victoria, which is a 1 hour 35 minute ferry crossing plus buses at each end and a 13-hour day on the guided versions like the Butchart Gardens and Gulf Islands trip. The cluster table gives the time and fare for each group of pins.

Do the prices on the pins include tax?

Only where the venue says so. The Vancouver Lookout publishes a tax-inclusive price, and Butchart Gardens states that its rates include tax; Capilano states outright that park rates are subject to GST, and Bloedel and VanDusen publish pre-tax rates. Where a venue publishes no tax statement at all, the pin does not invent one.

The Two Pins Most People Book

Capilano Suspension Bridge Park and the Grouse Mountain Skyride sit ten minutes apart on the North Shore, and both run free shuttles under conditions worth reading first. Their cards above show live availability for your date.

Official prices on the pins come from each venue's own site; the cards are the platform's listings, checked in Q3 2026.
