No dollar figure anywhere on capbridge.com

Read capbridge.com end to end and you will not find a dollar figure. The tickets and hours page carries seasonal opening times, a line about the Summer Twilight Rate, a note that adults and seniors save on admission online, and the sentence "Park Rates are subject to GST. Rates subject to change." Nowhere does it say what the rate is.

The prices live one domain across, in the web store at shop.capbridge.com, and they appear only after a browser runs the store's JavaScript, which is why automated readers come back with the word "Loading" and why so many pages quoting a confident Capilano price are quoting each other.

What the web store listed when we opened it

We opened that store in a real browser for this page. The rates it listed are below, and they are pre-tax figures: the park states that rates are subject to GST, so add 5% to every line. The full grid, including who counts as a student and what the twilight discount does to it, is on the Capilano tickets page.

What the park does publish is the shape, not the level

What the park does publish, and publishes clearly, is the shape of the pricing rather than the level of it. Children aged 0 to 5 are free. Guests using wheelchairs receive complimentary admission.

Adults and seniors save on admission online. A BC resident can buy an annual pass for the price of one day's regular admission. Rates are quoted in Canadian funds and are subject to GST.

Every one of those statements is on capbridge.com; not one of them is a number.

The bridge, and the two structures people actually stay for

The suspension bridge is the entrance rather than the destination. It carries you to the west side of the canyon, where Treetops Adventure runs seven smaller bridges between Douglas firs at up to 30 metres, and back on the east wall the Cliffwalk hangs off the granite on 16 anchor points with two glass floor panels. Reviewers on the park's own dated ticket consistently rank the order that way.

Keith from the United Kingdom, five stars, wrote that "the suspension bridge, cliff walk and treetops walk are amazing", and Mark from Australia called the Cliffwalk "brilliant" for giving another view back at the main span.

Kia'palano, the Story Centre and the nature talks

Kia'palano is the park's cultural centre, built around the story poles placed here from 1935 onward and carved by named Tlingit, Tahltan and Tsimshian artists. The Story Centre covers the bridge's own history. Staff run hourly nature talks in English, and Gayle from the United States, five stars, said the naturalist talk was "very educational" and the biggest surprise of her visit.

Both are step-free and both are open to guests using wheelchairs, who are admitted free.

Birds of prey, and one thing we could not confirm

Several 2026 reviews describe a birds of prey demonstration and a totem pole talk on the same visit, and the park's marketing has long used the name Raptors Ridge. We could not verify it from the park itself: capbridge.com/explore/raptors-ridge-birds-prey/ returned a 404 when we checked, and no schedule for it appears on the tickets and hours page. Treat raptor demonstrations as likely but unscheduled rather than something to plan an arrival time around, and check the board at the entrance.

What is not included

Food and drink at The Cliff House Restaurant, Loggers' Grill, Beary Waffles and The Cabin are extra, as is anything in the Trading Post gift shop. Parking is CA$9 for up to three hours. And the BC Residents Annual Pass, sold for the price of one day's admission, is explicitly not available to holders of a GetYourGuide ticket: the listing for the park's dated admission states it is not applicable for a BC Annual Pass.

The variable is not the bridge, which takes four minutes to cross and another ten to photograph. It is whether you walk the west side properly. Treetops sits across the canyon and the Cliffwalk sits back on the entrance side, so a visitor who wants both is committed to a loop with stairs at each end, and that loop, not the crossing, is what fills two hours.

If you are choosing between routings on price, note that the middle one costs you nothing extra. The ticket has no time limit once you are inside, the store says so in as many words, and the shuttle runs back to Canada Place until roughly 7:30 p.m. in the current season. The short visit exists for cruise passengers on a clock, not for anyone with a free afternoon.

Read the closing times as the last entry, not the last minute. The park's own wording is that "guests are welcome to stay in the Park an additional hour after posted closing time", and that hours are subject to change. All of the below was read on capbridge.com's tickets and hours page in Q3 2026.

When to arrive

The park runs one shuttle every 15 to 20 minutes from Canada Place from 8:30 a.m. in the current season, so the first two departures put you inside before the coach tours arrive. Louise from the United Kingdom, five stars, took the free shuttle and wrote "go early as the queue was getting big as we left". The other quiet window is the last two hours, which in the twilight season also happens to be the cheap one.

Canyon Lights, and why the winter park is a different visit

From November 20, 2026 to January 10, 2027 the canyon is lit and the park opens at 11:00 a.m. and closes at 9:00 p.m. It is the same admission, not a separate ticket, and it is included for BC annual pass holders, though the park warns that Canyon Lights availability is limited and passholders must reserve. Dress for standing still in a wet coastal forest after dark, and treat the winter guide as the companion page for what else is open then.

The free shuttle, and its one condition

Capilano runs a complimentary shuttle year round from three downtown points: Canada Place, on Canada Place Way between the convention centres, the Hyatt Regency at its Melville Street entrance, and the Blue Horizon on Robson Street. There is no reservation and no booking; seating is first come, first served, and for park guests only. The condition is on the return: "Proof of Park admission is required for return service on the shuttle." In the current season departures run from Canada Place from 8:30 a.m. roughly every 15 to 20 minutes with a midday pause, and returns from the park run until about 7:30 p.m.

Shuttle passengers travelling from Canada Place also get free same day luggage storage, which is why it suits cruise arrivals.

By bus, if you would rather not wait for a shuttle

From Waterfront Station, take the SeaBus across to Lonsdale Quay, twelve minutes, then the 236 bus to the park. The park also lists the 246 from downtown, boarding at Granville or Burrard SkyTrain or on West Georgia Street, and the 232 from Phibbs Exchange. All bus trips in Metro Vancouver are a 1 zone fare at any time; the SeaBus crosses a zone boundary, so the leg that costs you is the water one.

TransLink fares rose about 5% on July 1, 2026 and were read from translink.ca for this page. Children twelve and under travel free on the bus, the SkyTrain and the SeaBus, so a family pays only for the adults. One transfer window of 90 minutes covers the SeaBus and the 236 in a single fare, and the park's own advice is to buy the return trip before you leave downtown.

Driving, and where to put the car

West on Georgia Street through Stanley Park, over the Lions Gate Bridge, take the North Vancouver exit onto Marine Drive, left onto Capilano Road, then 1.6 km north. On-site parking is CA$9 for up to three hours, paid by card at the meters, in cash or debit at the ticket agents with your plate number ready, or through PayByPhone with location number 4536. RV space is very limited.

When the lot fills, the park directs drivers to free overflow parking at Handsworth Secondary School and the Connaught Building underground lot in Edgemont Village, with a continuous free shuttle between the lots and the entrance. Taxis and rideshare drop off at the crosswalk opposite the entrance.

One route that no longer exists: the free North Shore Shuttle from The Shipyards, which linked Lonsdale to Capilano, Grouse Mountain and Edgemont Village, ran only to September 7, 2026. If a blog tells you to arrive from Lonsdale Quay that way, it is out of date, and the 236 is the replacement.

Both bridges are real suspension bridges over a rainforest canyon and both are properly dramatic. What Capilano sells on top of the crossing is engineering you cannot see anywhere else in the region, staffed programming, and a door to door service from downtown. What Lynn Canyon offers instead is a park you can walk into at dawn for nothing.

The honest version of the choice is a trade of money for structures and logistics.

The order that works for most visitors: if you are choosing one, and the day is short, Capilano wins on logistics alone because the shuttle removes an hour of planning. If you have a car and two mornings, do Lynn Canyon for the forest and keep the money. - You can stay an extra hour after closing. The park's wording is that "guests are welcome to stay in the Park an additional hour after posted closing time", so a 7:00 p.m. close is really a 7:00 p.m. last entry [capbridge.com tickets and hours, read in Q3 2026]. - Guests using wheelchairs are admitted free, and the bridge is not the reason. The suspension bridge, Treetops Adventure and the Cliffwalk are all inaccessible, so the park gives complimentary admission to the Story Centre, Kia'palano, the shops and the restaurants instead [capbridge.com FAQ and group visits pages]. - A British Columbian pays for one day and gets a year. The BC Residents Annual Pass costs the price of one day's regular admission, with proof of residency, and adds 15% off guest admission and 10% off food and retail; it is the one genuine season deal in Vancouver's attraction market [capbridge.com BC Residents Annual Pass page]. - There is no Vancouver CityPASS and no Go City Vancouver pass to put this in. citypass.com lists seventeen cities with Toronto as its only Canadian one, and gocity.com/vancouver returns a 404, so any listing bundling Capilano into a city pass is selling something that does not exist [citypass.com and gocity.com destination lists, read in Q3 2026]. - The park polices its own resale market by name. Its ticket policies state that tickets are valid only from capbridge.com or authorised partners and that it does not accept tickets bought through capbridge.ltd or capilanobridge.com, with an ID check at entry [capbridge.com ticket policies].

Capilano is a morning, not a day. The shuttle from Canada Place gets you inside for the opening hour, and a full visit still puts you back downtown by early afternoon with the light left over for the seawall. The natural add-on is up the same road: Grouse Mountain, on the 236, where a return Skyride is $64.50 (CA$89) for an adult.

Anyone doing both without a car should either take the coach that bundles the two or plan the bus with the transfer window in mind, because two separate 1 zone fares are cheaper than most people expect.

Two combinations to avoid. Do not pair Capilano with a second forest walk on the same day; the Lynn Canyon trails and the Capilano loop are the same kind of hour and the second one wastes the ticket. And do not schedule it against a cruise departure without checking the shuttle return times, which stop around 7:30 p.m. in the current season and earlier in winter.
